Ray Klinginsmith, President of Rotary International 2010 - 2011

Ray Klinginsmith, Past Rotary International President, 2010-2011, is a retired attorney from Kirksville, Missouri, USA. As a member of the Rotary Club of Kirksville and a Rotarian since 1961, Ray has served Rotary as district governor, chair of the 1998 Council on Legislation in New Delhi, and chair of the 2008 Los Angeles Convention Committee. He was a member of the RI Board of Directors from 1985 to 1987 and chaired its executive committee in 1986-87. Ray joined The Rotary Foundation Trustees in 2002, serving as vice chair in 2005-06, and was a member of the Future Vision Committee from 2005 to 2008. Ray is a Major Donor and a recipient of the Foundation's Citation for Meritorious Service and Distinguished Service Award. Ray and wife, Judie have two children, Leigh and Kurt, and three grandchildren, Morgan, Grant, and Sydney Perkins.

Betsy Demaray, Rotary International Director, Zones 28 - 29

Elizabeth “Betsy” Demaray of the Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, USA (2011-13), is our RI Director, representing our two zones, 28-29. She is a commercial real estate broker who has owned several businesses. She is a past president of her community’s United Way and Board of Realtors and is a trustee of the Lake Superior State University Foundation and the War Memorial Hospital Board. In the 1980s, she was named one of the top five female entrepreneurs in Michigan. She has served Rotary as a committee and task force member, regional Rotary International membership coordinator, and training leader. Betsy and her husband, Ken, are Benefactors of The Rotary Foundation and Bequest Society members. They have hosted six exchange students and were part of a Carl P. Miller Discovery Grant mission to Jamaica.

Mary Beth Growney Selene, Rotary International Director-Elect, Zones 28 - 29

Mary Beth is our RI Director-Elect for Zones 28-29, 2013-15. A native of Apple Valley, MN, she is the founder and President of Ryan Signs, Inc., in Madison., WI. Mary Beth is a former member of the Board of Directors and ongoing supporter of the What If? Foundation, which works to feed and educate children in Haiti. Personal time is shared with her husband Alan Selene (PDG, District 5970) and daughter Bridget. Mary Beth Growney Selene has been a member of the Rotary Club of Madison West Towne-Middleton since October, 1987. In 2005, Mary Beth served as the General Chair for the Zones 27 & 28 Institute and as the 2006-2009 Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator for Zone 27. She was the 2009-2010 Public Image Resource Coordinator for Zone 28 and is currently serving as the Zone 28 Rotary Coordinator. She has received Rotary International’s Service Above Self Award and The Rotary Foundation’s Citation for Meritorious Service.

Anita Rieder, Senior Annual Giving Officer, Zones 28 - 29, The Rotary Foundation

Anita is the primary contact for EREY (Every Rotarian, Every Year) and other fundraising strategies. She joined the staff at The Rotary Foundation in June 2007 and enjoys assisting Rotarians with growing Our Rotary Foundation! Her connection with Rotary International began in high school when she received a scholarship from the Rotary Club of Amherst, Massachusetts; and in college at Northwestern University she temped for a summer at The Rotary Foundation in the Ambassadorial Scholarships division! Anita is also a classical flutist, having performed professionally throughout the Midwest as well as in Europe and Japan. She taught for nine years in higher education and holds a doctoral degree in music. While music remains a passion for Anita, she believes in the philosophy of life-long learning. She recently relocated to Eden Prairie, MN from Evanston, IL with her husband Bob, daughters Gillian and Nathalie and their dog Bruce.
