The North Central Presidents-Elect Training Seminar is an annual training event for incoming presidents and presidents-elect in Districts 5950 (MN), 5960 (MN/WI), 5970 (IA), 6000 (IA).

The 2012-2013 PETS event will be held at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester, MN, March 1st through 3rd, 2012.

  • 6 P.M. TO 7:30 P.M. - Opening Reception—“Welcome to Rochester,” hosted by the three Rochester Area Rotary Clubs, North Lobby Atrium
  • Dinner on your own (optional). Local list of restaurants will be provided in your “Welcome Packets."

Friday, March 2, 2012

NC PETS House of Friendship and Partner Tradeshow will be located in the 9,300-sq. ft. North Lobby; operational hours to be announced.

  • 7:30 A.M. TO 8:45 A.M - Welcome District Breakfasts; Buffet service in the Exhibit Hall off North Lobby; please be seated in areas by District
  • 8:45 A.M. - 9:00 A.M. - 15-minute break, North Lobby
  • 9 A.M. TO 11:45 A.M. - Opening District Sessions;(with break) Individual District Opening Sessions. The following meeting rooms are located on the west side of the Mayo Civic Center, adjacent to the Skyway to the Hotels. These sessions will be facilitated by both your DGE and your District Trainer:
    • District 5950: MAYO (upper level)
    • District 5960: ELLIOTT (upper level)
    • District 5970: LEGION (street level)
    • District 6000: MCDONNELL (street level)
  • 12:00 P.M. - Plenary #1: General Multi-District Luncheon with Keynote Speaker, Rotary International Director, Zones 28-29, Betsy Demaray, Exhibit Hall off North Lobby
  • 1:30 P.M. TO 5 P.M. - Multi-District Strategic Plan Breakouts: Three rounds of Multi-District Strategic Plan Breakouts on the three focused subject areas that support the RI Strategic Plan. Facilitators will be trainers from each of our four districts. Presidents Elect are urged to follow your own Assistant Governor (AG) in groups, from session to session.
    • 1:30 P.M. - 2:30 P.M. - Round 1: Supporting and Strengthening Clubs
    • 2:30 P.M. - 2:40 P.M. - 10-minute break, North Lobby
    • 2:40 P.M. - 3:40 P.M. - Round 2: Humanitarian Service
    • 3:40 P.M. - 3:50 P.M. - 10-minute break, North Lobby
    • 3:50 p.m. - 4:50 P.M. - Round 3: Public Image and Awareness
  • 6 P.M. - Multi-District Reception (North Lobby House of Friendship)
  • 7 P.M. - Plenary #2: Multi-District Dinner with Keynote Speaker (Exhibit Hall off North Lobby), featuring Past Rotary International President, Ray Klinginsmith
  • 9 P.M. - District Hospitality Suites (hosted by respective DGEs; suite locations at the Double Tree, TBA)
